"David: Were you misled too?"

Did Tony Blair and Attorney General mislead Delyn MP as well as the cabinet?

The government has until tomorrow to respond to a Guardian request under the Freedom of Information Act to publish the attorney general's full legal advice on the war and the resignation letter of the deputy chief legal adviser at the Foreign Office, Elizabeth Wilmshurst. If it refuses to respond the information commissioner, Richard Thomas, will conduct an independent review and has the power to order their release.

For more details on how parliamentary backing for military action was 'obtained improperly' see: Goldsmith misled cabinet on Iraq says Short and PM condemned over legal advice on Iraq. In addition there is: 'If my prime minister is a war criminal, so is Tony Blair'.

Delyn Democracy's plea for truth, trust and accountability to David Hanson MP, in relation to the Iraq war advice controversy, is documented in our archive for 01 March 2005.

Delyn Democracy will warmly welcome David Hanson's perspective on this issue which we will be very happy to publish.
