MP 'rebuilds trust' with constituents

Whose drawn the Short Straw?
Delyn Democracy welcomes the public announcement by our MP that he has "listened to the views of the public" during the General Election campaign and that he will now "be acting" on what he’s heard. He also added: "The needs of my Flintshire constituents will continue to come first.” Delyn Democracy also welcomes the Chronicle’s plea for Labour to "not take voters for granted and listen to what they have to say."
It will be excellent to now learn precisely how our MP will be finding more effective ways to listen and act with Delyn constituents; and whether our MP will consider putting his constituents views first by occasionally (or even regularly) voting in Parliament against, for instance, the authoritarian and Thatcherite excesses of the New Labour Government.
Delyn Democracy would now welcome some real evidence that the difficult questions asked of New Labour during the election campaign have really been taken on board. But then again are junior ministers 'allowed' to display independence of thought without damaging their 'position' and 'prospects'?
