'Over-loyal' MP rewarded by Blair

Minister of State for Northern Ireland, David Hanson MP for Delyn

'Yes Minister'

A new appointment to Minister of State in the Northern Ireland Office is David Hanson, MP for Delyn. He was formerly the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Prime Minister, Tony Blair. David Hanson says "If you live within the Delyn area, I can represent you and your views in many different ways."

However, it has also been said that Mr Hanson "can seem 'silicone-chipped' when he asks over-loyal questions" (Andrew Roth of The Guardian).

On this website one solid Labour constituent and party member in Delyn has said: "I actually heard David Hanson say that he had never ever voted against the government on any issue whatsoever. That in itself was a prime self-condemnatory statement if ever there was one because it is not theoretically possible for a person with a conscience to agree with our political masters on everything."
